It's often been said that I ignore our Canadian board members, primarily because I think you're all a bunch of hide-wearing savages that live in homes made of ice and seal brains and worship Cthulhu in his eternal slumber beneath the waves.  While that is undoubtedly true, that doesn't mean we can't give you frost-bitten bastards a bit of love now and then.  When I saw this tiny article, I knew I had to share it with you.

Behold, your national dish/secondary object of worship has reached the half century mark.

Yes, apparently those people up there actually eat that stuff. :P

Fuck YEAH!! Poutine is the MAD notes!  I had some today actually:D

Although I have to point out that it's more commonly referred to as Poontang 'round these parts.

Looks like it'd kill you if you ate it more than about once a year.

I hate poutine.

Everybody I know loves it, but I just can't stand it. It's gross.

And my Cthulhu worship has pretty much lapsed since I went abroad.

What the hell is that?

I threw up last week after waking up with a terrible stomach ache, and the first thing I thought when I opened up that site was "who took a picture of my barf?"

You have no idea what you're missing!  :P  I mean Jesus, Louise loves it now.  You God damned stuffy London fucks, I'll kill you all yet.

You eat jellied eel pies, but not poutine, for shame!!!

I think tonight we're celebrating by having some.  All of this seal clubbing all day to pay the electric bill in my igloo deserves a reward.

What's wrong with eel? (Though I tend to favour unagi).

You still club seals? In Ottawa, we make throw rugs out of rude Frenchman that have crossed the river from Quebec.

Can't we just...  Club Frenchmen in general?

We just had our poutine.  It was Jesus awesome.  It was from A&W, so the fries weren't quite right and it was a hella small portion...  But it had proper fucking gravy and curds.  ...Some mozza burgers went well with it too!

...Some days my diet doesn't do so good.  :P

^ Ha, A&W is where I gets my Poutine as well.  They have their off days but it's almost always good.  There a convienience store on the other side of town that makes the shit pretty good too.

The only good thing about A&W is their root beer.
