In preparation for the release of Mario Galaxy, GameStop hired Charles Martinet, the voiceactor of Mario, to record the automated message for all pre-order announcement phonecalls. Sure, it was cheesy as hell, but I was kinda in a pissy mood when I got the call, and it perked me right up. First time I've ever sat through the entirety of one of those automated phone calls.

Where were you when Mario called?

I remember when the name of the person that called from the gamestop pre-orders was Aeris. She would call and be like, "this is aeris from gamestop! your pre-order for Xenosaga is due to be in the store on..." blah blah blah whatever day it was going out. On another note, I got a call from Optimus Prime about a month ago, saying my mother was working with the decepticons and that to prepare for the war ahead, I should go buy the transformers DVD... it actually said my mothers name though... but it turns out that my sister was on the transformers site, and there was a thing where you can have OP call someone. ;_; lying bastards! I thought transforms was real for a minute, and thought that maybe something interesting and cool was about to happen in my life... *sigh* maybe someday... *sniff... runs out of thread crying*

I got an audio in an e-mail about a month ago telling me that my lover, Raymond was conspiring against me.

In a creepy Optimus Prime-like voice. :P Yeah it was the TF DVD promotion thing. Which I never did buy...

I didn't hear the message, but I was next to a person that did.
Me and a friend were joking about it after it happened, and wondered what other possible games they could do this for.

I'd shit myself if the announcer guy from Smash Bros came on the phone and told me that Brawl is finally in stock. :P

I think it's cute they did this.  Mind you, no Gamestops where I live, so.

I'm gonna buy the damn game at Wal-Mart tomorrow though.  :P
