Song of the Moment

Meat Loaf rules!  Especially the Jim Steinman albums (Bat out of Hell, Bat out of Hell 2: Back Into Hell) with song titles that rival Bal Sagoth's song titles in length and songs that are even longer than DragonForce's epics.  Seriously, I love those albums.  "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" in its full 12 minute entirety is awesome.

But my song of the moment is "Three Little Pigs" by Green Jelly because we're doing that story this week in my pre-K classroom.  This was an excellent video.  I love the part during the chorus when the wolf shadow is slashing.

Well the wolf fell dead as you can plainly see.

David Gilmour - A Pocketful of Stones

This is the type of album I've always wanted to hear; a solo guitarist record with nothing but emotive, flowing pieces. My favorite part is the other-worldly vibe throughout; it's as if you were On An Island, away from everything else. I shouldn't judge it so soon, but this just might be his best work. David Gilmour has always been my favorite guitarist, and this album is nothing short of stunning.
