According to
1UP
, next Fatal Frame is coming to Wii, and get this, the developer will be Grasshopper this time. Interesting.

Grasshopper did fine with the surreal stuff in Killer 7. I wonder how they will handle Fatal Frame.

With M titles for the WII dropping like flies:
Project Hammer - cancelled
Disaster Day of Crisis - Disappeared
I'll believe it when I see it.
I think Grasshopper *could* do a good job......but I still think it won't make it past development stage.

I personally don't think the titles where being dropped since they have M ratings. If so RE4 and Red Steel wouldn't have seen the light of day either.

Disaster Day of Crisis - Disappeared
There is new information popping up regarding this game, so it's not pended or anything. I've heard that the story has been changed, though. It's nice to see these games coming to Wii, however I hope they /stay/ on Wii, and not become a timed-exclusive, as is popular today with "exclusives".

Those games weren't even
rated
yet, they could've been T. Hell, I pegged Project H.A.M.M.E.R. as being a T, aren't you just smashing robots and stuff? Both of your examples are Nintendo titles, not third-party, and Killer7 now and forever negates any possibility Nintendo would reject a game for being too violent/profane if that's what you're getting at, only that AO rating matters here. Third parties may be stupid of their own accord though as the Prince of Persia 3 censorship for the Wii/
PSP
releases shows.
Edit: And... Yeah. Disaster sounds like it may still be alive, it's just been mostly quiet there. And Project H.A.M.M.E.R. was some NST thing, and it may've just been crap.

I'm not saying it's not going to happen.
Control wise, I could see it working.
But Fatal Frame games are scary shit.
Killer 7 was good and freaky....but not scary.
I'm just imagining the ghosts breaking up into little pixels like in Killer 7, and I just don't see it working.
It's no more likely a combo than Bioware and a Sonic RPG.
I'll be prepared to eat crow if I'm wrong.

So they're scary, are they violent or profane? Scary rarely is equated into a rating, sex and violence is.
Nintendo doesn't seem to care about scary games, RE and Eternal Darkness anyone?

I think the fact that Nintendo were going to allow
Manhunt 2
to be on Wii (before it got banned) shows they don't really care about M-rated games being on their consoles.

A sequel would be nice. The last three (3) were so freaking scary I can only play them on easy mode the first time. I think the second one still holds my record for the number of expletives in a single game, particularly the time when I was trapped in a small room with a doll and when I was crawling under the stairs; I shouted “oh sh*t” over and over again, defeating the ghosts felt cathartic afterwards. I want more of that!

I don't like Project Zero as much as Resident Evil or Silent Hill, but since I have the other three, I guess I'll pick it up once I get a Wii.
