That could happen, being that he's been nominated for one this time around.

That would be the greatest acceptance speech ever. :P

That's so good! Shame he has no chance in Hell of winning :P

By the way, was the new King album released this year any good? I haven't seen anyone talking about it nor any reviews.

I haven't gotten it yet.  I don't know why, but it always slips my mind when I'm out cd shopping.  A friend of mine has it though, and she says it's more consistent than "The Puppet Master", but "The Puppet Master"'s best songs smoke all the ones on the new album.

Her opinion sounds like my opinion of "House of God":   a solid album as a whole, but lacks any single tracks bound to become mainstays of the live show.  But really, it's probably a mistake for her to be comparing it to the awesomeness of "Blood To Walk" and "Emerencia" and all that good shit. :P

Well, he lost. :(

So who won?  I'll give you a hint:  they've been coasting on the legacy of two albums for over twenty years and morons love to shout their name at concerts. :P

This is why I hate corporate music awards...  The people who SHOULD win DO NOT.

Lame.

The only good one was Herbie Hancock winning the biggie album of the year.  Herbie Hancock is awesome.

Award shows suck anyway.  It's just a bunch of corporate suits patting each other on the back.  Even the ones voted on by "the people" are totally rigged.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually regret ignoring the Grammys for the second year in a row . Last year it was Sly Stone performing, and this year it's Herbie Hancock winning the award he should have won a bazillion years ago. Sextet = most underrated album ever.
