Earlier today we posted news stories about Ys Origin coming to the PSP, as well as a three-part Star Ocean 4 for 360/PS3. At this point, we've been informed that these stories have proven false. Whether their original source was rumors that will later be confirmed, or pure lies, we cannot say. For now, these stories have been pulled down. So if you read the stories and now wonder "where'd they go?" ... now you know.

It's all good. Thanks for clarifying, though.

I don't suppose you could support your FFIV date with a source? I'm by no means calling Chris a liar, but there's been no official confirmation that it's NA-bound, let alone dropping this summer.
Although I'm sure you're enjoying the attention-traffic courtesy of GoNintendo and Destructoid ;)

It was in the newest issue of Nintendo Power. They had a HUGE preview on it and it listed a July 2008 release date.

How come, then, every other site that mentioned that news story has failed to mention a July release date? Especially since the Nintendo Power issue
didn't
confirm a NA-release beyond having English screens. No "straight from the horse's mouth".
Why, then, are the likes of Shacknews etc. investigating this?

Okay, well... despite how thoroughly unreliable (and in disarray) GameSpot is. Why didn't RPGFan cite NP as a source?

We are in the process of fixing it. We're adding NP as the source.

All righty. I apologize if I came off as harsh or overly critical. If correspondence with S-E reps turns bust, RPGFan's reliability could be panned. Just lookin' out for ya ;)

Approximately .2% of our traffic from the past seven days has come from these two sites. Yeah, man, we really drummed up the world when we accidentally neglected to cite a source on an article.

Hey, Dtoid, DSFanboy, and Shacknews cited your website concerning the news. That's
cool
, in my opinion. No reason to get defensive over a joke, friend.
Considering RPG Fan's alexa ranking I don't suspect you guys sweat much over site traffic. Is goooooooood.
