Watched
Deep Rising
again, I have a weakness for pulpish science-fiction horror junkfood like this. Barely justified giant seamonsters sucking your fluids out when you are still alive. And they are fast. Seamonsters > zombies. Okay, the movie is unoriginal, but it doesn't take itself seriously and that makes it okay. It's fun.

Haven't watched any movies lately, but just wondering if we should put "What you've been watching" into a single thread since Anime, TV, and movies are in the same forum now.

I watched The Island. It was OK, I liked the general premise, and I enjoyed the dialogue. The action wasn't so good, and it was overlong, but generally enjoyable. Scarlett Johannson looks ridiculously gorgeous throughout as well.

Dave Chappelle's Block Party was a really fun movie. It featured some of the most respectable musicians in the genre of hip-hop, and the vibe of the whole thing was very positive, not to mention the comedic bits from Dave. I loved it.

I watched City of God last night. What a great movie. I really got the feeling of being a part of that world for two hours. Disturbing and engaging with a sense that what this movie portrays is pretty damn close to reality. Highly recommended.

I watched 'Conan The Barbarian' and 'Conan The Destroyer' on Saturday night. I haven't seen them for at least 10 years. Classics;)

I saw it as well, it was all right. Mostly just went to it to see some more Chappelle comedy, the concert stuff was okay too.

I just watched
No Man's Land
, which is about a Bosnian and a Serb being trapped in No Man's Land in Bosnia with a third soldier laying on a mine and a UN Sargeant tries to help despite his superiors trying to stop him. The ending was sad but humor was still put into the film.

I watched Silence of the Lambs. It was good, although for some reason I really wished it was set in England. Not sure why.

Nanny McPhee
. A funny family sort of film. Better suited for kids, although I did enjoy watching it greatly (up until the ending anyway).
McPhee reminds me of my Biology teacher. o_O

I watched 16 Blocks a week ago because I really like Bruce Willis as an actor. He's taking roles that at least suit his age as opposed to someone like Harrison Ford who makes the same movie every year with a slight alteration in the plot.
It was a good movie. I really liked the suspense of wondering who's gonna get shot here and there. Admittedly, I do think that Donner overused this tool, but it was still pretty good anyways. Mos Def and Bruce Willis were both great, as usual. Plot wasn't too bad either.
Peace Out

I saw Ultraviolet last weekend.
haha, am I ever glad I didn't pay to see it
I didn't stop laughing, the unintentional comedy just keeps rolling in that flick. It's like being hit in the face over and over with an ADHD rainbow made of brain damage.
the ONLY things I know for sure about the movie:
1: there are vampires
2: one guy wears a noseplug
3: it is colourful.
recommendation: see this movie for free, but don't you dare pay for it.

The last movie I purchased and watched was
Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumber Land
. One of my favorite childhood movies, I saw it in FYE so I just had to have it.
