My theater teacher has been telling me to see American Beauty for a while and I finally did. Wow. It was amazing. Brilliantly acted, beautifully shot and directed...it was just great. I can see why it's so loved.
<3 Sam Mendes.
American Beauty was an amazing cinematic piece of work. Can't say that I liked Road to Perdition as much though.

Did I already post that I watched X-men III? I think so (too lazy to check). The last film I watched was "Superman Returns" and "Something the Lord Made".
I enjoyed both. The latter was on HBO earlier this week...Alan Rickman was really good. In retrospect, it's one of those "life stories/based on a true story" sort of movies, but didn't feel as long or dragged on as most of such movies.

I thought RtP was a beautiful film. People attacked it for being "slow", but I didn't see that. I think the movie needed to take its time for it's effect. Besides,
Code:
that scene where Paul Newman gets gunned down was just fantastic.

Indeed. I think Road to Perdition is great. Not as good as American Beauty, but still great.

I really enjoyed that film. For some reason, I really <3 Steve Zahn, as well.

I just watched
The Inside Man
.
It wasn't a great movie...but it was pretty good. Hehe, I'm beginning to like Clive Owen's weird accent. It's actually kind of funny.

The Libertine with Johhny Depp. This movie pretty much sucked. Even Depp wasn't that good in it. I'm not going to bother writing anything more about. Don't waste your money.

Ice Age 2
. It was a nice, kind of predictable animated film. I've never been a very big fan of the first Ice Age but this one was okay. Made me laugh. :-)
Thinking of watching Mirror Mask tonight.

Clerks II. Though the conversations arn't nearly as involving as the first one, it is certainly a great sequel. And one thing you gotta love is how between the first clerks and this one, Kevin Smith has become a better director. =)
