300 was pretty rad. There were some emotional points that kind of fell flat, but overall, I liked it. The choreography was beautiful.

I still need to watch that. I can just never get in the mood for it though!
I watched You Only Live Twice. An above average Bond movie, but certainly not the best. It's really the one that sets the formula for the Moore-era. The end scene in the volcano is fantastic. I was very surprised that it's written by Roald Dahl.

300 - I guess you can say it is a guy's flick, but I say there's plenty there for women to see (Gerard Butler and his abs of wow plus many of the other men, heh). It's a fun movie, but don't expect anything deep or to be touched emotionally. The queen is pretty kick as in the movie, even almost more so than the men.
Stranger Than Fiction - I really liked the premise and thought it was pretty fun in parts. I liked it.
The Return - So this is what Buffy's been up too. It's always a little weird to see her running away from The Big Bad instead of kicking its ass. Still this movie was a lot better than I expected it to be. I wouldn't call it a horror movie; it's more like a romance/thriller. I really enjoyed watching it.

We watched The Prestige last night. I swear half the time I didn't know what was going on. The sequence of events had me confused, too. Add in having to keep the volume relatively low due to a sleeping child and I ended wishing I had watched this one by myself with headphones on.
Seemed like a good movie.

I watched Poseidon last night out of sheer boredom. Pretty mindless stuff but it killed some time.
THEN I found my "Nightbreed" dvd in my dresser drawer. I haven't watched it in years so I was pretty happy. Pretty cheesey now but it was always a favorite of mine when I was younger.

All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.

I watched 300 last night, with my siblings.
Loved the film. Radical, violent, beautiful and it just gave me goosebumps. The fighting scenes were excellent, got me admiring the effect of having filmed most scenes with a green background. And hey-- the Spartans were pretty easy on the eyes. :P

I saw Bill Cosby-Himself yesterday. Man, those are still some of the funniest 2 hours ever. I always laugh my ass off every time I see it. Even though the thing was filmed in '83, it's still funny 24 years later.

Flushed Away - It was okay. There were some laugh-out-loud moments but I would still classify this movie as a rental instead of a buy.

I watched The Descent earlier this afternoon with some pausing and muting (I get very scared during horror movies). I was told by my friend who can watch almost anything that it scared her, so I was prepared for the absolute worst, but the first half of the movie was boring, and the second half turned into something along the lines of a zombie movie (i.e. not very scary at all). I guess that movies where people are scary like Saw (there really was a guy in the closet!) and movies with little creepy girls like The Ring are what scare me the most.

I finally got around to watching Pan's Labyrinth.
It wasn't exactly what I expected, although I did enjoy the film. Hauntingly beautiful. Normally I'd complain about the violence (certain types of violence, I'm not a fan of) but I won't do so now because it just added to the grim atmosphere, giving the film an intense mix between reality and fantasy/imagination.
I also saw The Little Mermaid. Even when I was a kid, I never liked this film as much as the other Disney films, for various reasons. My favourites have always been the ones with stronger female leads, like Belle and Mulan. You know...girls who didn't immediately swoon over the male lead.

We watched Hard Candy sat night. Odd movie. I'm honestly not sure what to think of it. A lot about this movie bothered me(not in a good way, if you know what I mean) and I can't say I would recommend it.
