My theater teacher has been telling me to see American Beauty for a while and I finally did. Wow. It was amazing. Brilliantly acted, beautifully shot and directed...it was just great. I can see why it's so loved.

I just saw Fast and Furious 3 and was suprised, it was actually pretty good. Just a fun, entertaining action movie with cool cinematography and music.

X-Men 3 manages to be better than the other two, which is quite an acheivement. Even my dad thought it was good. lol I think the X-Men series still remains the Best Film Comic Book Ever (TM). Yell at me if i'm wrong :P
Other than that I've seen Poseidon, whcih is amusing because it's only
Code:
the pretty, young white americans survive (well, apart from Richard Dreyfuss). Yeah, the South Americans both die quite horribly. And the captain (whos black btw - showing that this films not racist, honest) gets killed off quickly.
I wouldnt recommend seeing it - its not that good.
DVDs seen recently: (yes, they have invented those in Europe)
Doom (surprisingly good)
Nightwatch (good, but not to everyones taste)
FFVII: Advent Children (unsurprisingly very good)

Conan the Barbarian - This was like watching a Manowar album...except that it was good! I just love Arnie though.

Haha!
I just came back from Superman Returns. Loved it. See the movie's thread for my detailed impressions.

Watched The Brothers Grimm about a week ago. Odd movie. Started out kinda goofy, then got all serious towards the end. The movie didn't know what it wanted to be. Just odd.
Watched Brokeback Mountain Sat. night. I was expecting this to be a lot better than it was. Not a bad movie, just very sloooooooow moving. I give those two guys a lot of credit for taking on these roles. I don't like how the resolution was presented, but I understand it.

I saw Superman Returns and then I picked up Equilibrium and Running Scared at Best Buy. Equilibrium was good and I had seen most of it when I visited Australia last summer and Running Scared was a movie where Paul Walker did some great acting and I loved the movie.

Shaun of the Dead. Still one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

Paul Waker? Acting? The?
Of course, Joy Ride and The Fast and the Furious aren't very good judges of a person's ability to act, so I shouldn't be talking. I always give actors a chance. Even Ben Affleck.
Hey, he was good in Dogma. C'mon.

IMO, Paul Walker's best work is in Eight Below. I was seriously impressed.

OMG watch Kull the Conqueror! The soundrack is metal as fuck, and a guy spontaneously combusts. It's the best thing ever.

Red Sonja - Some cheesy Arnie film, with the worst dialogue ever. Still enjoyed it though :P
