http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1098327/

Just saw this. Didn't even know it was in production. Check out the cast list, state your thoughts. Remember it's being directed by Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer).

Meh, ill believe this when I see it, there has been rumors of a DB movie for years, still havent seen one movie picture or trailer. It seems pretty sketchy to me. Also I think you have the directors wrong (either that or they changed it, which would be more proof that this probably isnt real), it says the Director is James Wong... The same dude who directed The One with Jet Li, I honestly cant think of a better person to take on the DB movie if this is actually real.

edit: looking again in the full cast and crew it does say Stephen Chow is one of the producers.

I'm guessing the DB movie is gonna be hilarious if Chow is directing it.

I may have gotten the director wrong, but I knew Chow was involved. Guess I misinterpreted how he was involved. But I'm pretty sure this movie is real. How many fake things have been on IMDB?

They need to get the chinese dude that played the Kung Fu master in Kill Bill to be Master Roshi.

It's been a while since I've seen news for this, but it looks like we'll be getting a trailer on the 17th; it's supposedly screening before Max Payne.

I actually have high hopes for this film. I don't give two shits if it follows the story of the manga/anime, as long as it retains most of the charm and style. From the looks of promo shots and posters, that's all there. Some characters have been redesigned, but it doesn't look bad and everything seems to make sense, which is always a plus.

I wish I could be that optimistic. Looking at the promo shots I get a Street Fighter the movie vibe. Hopefully the end result will be a good movie.

I dunno. I'm hoping for something like Stephen Chow does with his fight scenes: over the top, a lot of fun, but nothing sloppy. Since he's a producer, I'm hoping he'll influence things a bit.

I love the colors in those posters. The contrast in blues and orange looks great and feels very Dragonball. Hopefully that style is in the movie.

I don't have high expectations for this movie because I expect it to suck, so if it doesn't I will be thoroughly surprised.

Yeah, no kidding.

I like James Marsters, and I understand changing up alot of things for this movie, but I think they shoulda just left the dude green. I mean, Piccolo is s'posed to be an alien, right? Anyway, I don't really expect it to turn out great, but I hope it's not effing atrocious. Either way, I'm definitely gonna watch it.
