Who cares. Ninja Gaiden 2 ceased to be fun when you start fighting legions of enemies with unblockable attacks, launching volley after volley of missiles. The game began to go downhill when you kill the chapter 7 boss, and he self-destructs with absolutely no warning to the player that he was going to do that. I wanted a challenging game, not a cheap game... because that was a perfect example of something cheap. I ended up refighting the same stupid boss four times for no good reason other than the developers thinking it'd be funny as I tried different methods of dodging something you had no clue would happen until you had died the first time. Horrible, horrible game design.

I have just been informed by a friend that in the skills menu, there are various things you can allocate points to, including... the backstep I was bitching about. You basically don't necessarily get it for free.
Game redeemed. I shall be buying it now. Seriously, that was a huge part of my gameplay in Symphonia, so having it again makes all the difference in how I play.
Edit: Oh, and apparently this is the same demo that was used back in March as a preview of the game, so it's old code. Take that for what it's worth.

Demo's are usually incomplete, Parn. =3
But I'm glad you took it for what it is.
(free!)
=D
I take the demo as a preview, the demo is clearly missing a few crucial things the current Tales games have, and its unlikely this team of developers would intentionally take a step back.

Yeah, it was an interesting little demo though, and since it will be my first Tales game in a long while, im looking forward to it.

I can't imagine how much the dog is going to contribute to skits. Aside from some ass-sniff joke or something.
Anyways...
Hi-ougi's look hawt
Secret missions should be a fun challenge
Attachments (the customizable, stats-upgrade-less
stuff
you can throw on characters) make you realise how much practise NamcoBandai got in rendering 3D things when making just about
everything
for the Katamari Damacy games.
Battle Linking will make things hard and interesting (if no a future reason I end up cussing at my TV screen)
And
yay
for voiced skits and opening this time!

It's official, I'm getting an Xbox 360. Right now PS3 has nothing I want other than the FFXIII's. And yes, voice acting in the Skits is awesome. Skits in Tales of the Abyss were awesome, but I probably would've liked 'em even more if they were fully voiced.

finished the demo - felt like every other tales i've played - but that's not a bad thing
definitely not a system seller, but a good contribution to the 360's JRPG library...

Well, with a $50 price cut, a the Jasper model coming out, the chances of me getting this game are going up.

Speaking of the hinted PS3 game, I seriously hope it is not Tales of Vesperia. Make a brand new game.

This game look amazing. I love tales games, it'll probably force me to buy a 360. I'm trying to hold out until the rumor of an updated system is confirmed.
