What don't you guys like about RuneScape? I'm asking because it's the one MMO I'm actually mildly interested in, for obvious reasons.

Obvious reasons?  Haha, I can't imagine RuneScape having "interesting" qualities, let less "obviously interesting" ones.  It's old, it looks like crap, and its gameplay is far from what I'd consider entertaining.

I assume you mean "because it's free," but if so, there are many free MMORPGs that are better than RuneScape.  Maple Story, for example.

You want a good subscription free game? Get Guild Wars. Costs like $30 USD. Stop being a cheapass and get some scruples.

Guild Wars has interested me for awhile...  Then again, I dunno if I can accept another drug dependency.  There's another free one that looks good too.  Don't seem to remember the name right now though.  Then again, the only reason I'm interested is giant elf tits therein.  :P

'Kay, so I did a bit of reasearch on the free MMOs out there, and was pleasantly shocked to find that among them (if you're willing to put up with in-game ads, at least) is none other than Anarchy Online! That has always been the MMO that seemed most appealing to me, all things being equal, but I had always assumed that it was subscription-only. Now that I know that it's not, I plan to start playing it by the end of the week.
