Just finished Suikoden V.
That was a good game. Despite the slow start, I really got into the story. The war and naval battles were an interesting addition; I hadn't played anything like that before. The duels were quite entertaining, expect for the grunting Childerich, where I just had to guess.
Only things I would have liked was an in game tutorial or help screens (I didn't know what "Treatment" did for forever) and better inventory management. Having a ton of Medicine5 was a bit of a pain, and not having Medicine1 auto stack sucked. Minor complaints really.
Now I'm waiting for Amazon to ship my copy of Eternal Poison.

Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon (though I may have finished the latter at the end of 2007, but I really don't recall) are the only two games I've actually finished this year, unless you count pulling the plug on my FFXI account finally when I finished the ToAU missions and decided hanging in there to see WotG through wasn't particularly desirable after almost 5 years and having done everything I wanted. These days it takes me at least 3 months to finish most games if I'm going fast because there's just never enough time. I do intend to finish off Crisis Core soon and I'm making pretty good progress in Valkyria Chronicles and I'm still playing Persona 3 on and off. Infinite Undiscovery may be headed for my list of games I will never finish (Mass Effect and DQ Swords are its predecessors this year) because it has made me regret playing it the two times I have sat down with it.

Fallout 3. I still have a few sidequests to do and lots of areas to explore though.

I don't know... I didn't really keep a list this year. Lets see...
Dragon Quest Monsters: JOKER
Sword of Mana
DemiKids - Dark Version
Super Robot Wars: Original Generation
Shining Force
.hack//Outbreak
.hack//Quarantine
Atelier Iris: Gran Phantasm
Legaia 2
Romancing Saga
Digital Devil Saga 2
Persona 3
Suikoden Tactics
Tales of Legendia
Lunar Dragon Song
Luminous Arc
Children of Mana
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
I thought I had only finished a few games. I guess I thought wrong O_o
I'm now very close to the end of Odin Sphere, but I doubt I will be able to beat Levanthan without getting some more healing items first.

1. Dragon Quest Monsters: JOKER
2. Sword of Mana
3. DemiKids - Dark Version
4. Super Robot Wars: Original Generation
5. Shining Force
6. .hack//Outbreak
7. .hack//Quarantine
8. Atelier Iris: Gran Phantasm
9. Legaia 2
10. Romancing Saga
11. Digital Devil Saga 2
12. Persona 3
13. Suikoden Tactics
14. Tales of Legendia
15. Lunar Dragon Song
16. Luminous Arc
17. Children of Mana
18. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
19. Odin Sphere
20. Riviera
Riviera was a fun game. Reminded me of those old adventure books. Plenty of Japanese RPG incorporate some sort of dating sim in their RPGs, but in this game it doesn't feel like a tacked on minigame.
Next... Probably Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon which I'm going to buy tomorrow. Twelve years after Terranigma, Europe finally gets to point and laugh at North America again!

Havent really played any rpg's this year or in the last few. I kinda got bored with them not being interesting enough besides DDS 1-2 (and i never even got to finish those due to boot camp). I'm currently playing Eternal Sonata right now and will most likely complete that to start my rpg craze again and end the year right lol.

I literally just finished Suikoden V for the first time. Pretty pleased with how it finished, got the 'Lym' ending (all 108 stars, chose to stay and help rebuild). Only issue with it is how damned
easy
the endgame is, provided you do the Eresh sub-quest as soon as you can (my team of choice didn't level up for the final 15 hours of the game!!!). I mean, taking out the final boss in 3 rounds is pretty lame...

Man, I didn't use Eresh and actually used two wrong characters, both strong tanks with poor magic defense. They were KO'd the entire battle, so I had to go at it with my other 4. Took much longer than 3 rounds for me. :(

Eresh herself isn't that great, you already have Zerase to fulfil your magical needs. My final team comprised of the Prince, Lyon, Kyle, Killey, Zerase and Belcoot. To be honest, Belcoot didn't do an awful lot, mere cannon fodder, the real damage came from Zerase's Star Rune and Lyon & the Prince's combo, Creation at level four. Kyle was on healing duty with a Shield Rune and Killey blasting away with Rage and Thunder Runes. Battlefield cast in the first round increased magical damage to stupid levels!
But yeah, three rounds and it was over!
