Prince of Persia- guess who

According to rumor, Orlando Bloom is apparently in talks to become the Prince of Persia for the upcoming movie (so, sorry for those who voted on the actual Persian Prince [see below]).

Thoughts?

Personally, I think the match up is decent.  I dig it.

Orlando Bloom was awesome in Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Troy, and Kingdom of Heaven so I think he should do fine.

I'm not a big Orlando Bloom fan. I think the first thing I ever enjoyed him in was Lord of the Rings. Next time I saw him was in Pirates, where he played the same character with a different name, but that was alright because Pirates was really just for fun anyway. But when I saw him in Kingdom of Heaven I was stuck wondering what Legolas was doing in the Middle East.

Despite that I think he'd be a great fit for a PoP movie. Can't really see many others in that role.

This is pretty much what I came here to say.  Bloom's a bit of a one-trick pony these days, but this movie is definitely his sort of trick.

Bloom can act, on occasion. He's really good in Ned Kelly. It's just a shame that he keeps playing the same role over and over.

Well, he'll be Legolas with darker hair and shorter ears, so I guess that's okay. And Degolas, why would anyone watch this movie for the acting?
