Well, a few we ordered some days past that I forgot about.
Virgin Steele - Invictus
ELP - From the Beginning (DVD)
And today...
Iron Maiden - A Matter of Life and Death
...Plus the shirt!
First solid listen of the album was beyond good. Several consistant listens with the CD in the background as we played games was also very very very good. I must now listen to it as I fall asleep, on the bus tomorrow to work, and finally sit down sometime this week and read along with the lyrics.
I can say already I like this better than Dance of Death, but not quite sure if it beats Brave New World yet. And since BNW is my fave Maiden album, we are quite anxious to see how this fares.

I also got A Matter of Life and Death today, the fancy DVD edition no less! On first listen, it's really really fucking good. I think I may like it more than BNW and DoD, although of course I need a few more listens.
One thing's for certain though, there's not a bad track on it, something that can't be said for the previous two albums (well, not bad, but filler certainly).
Stand out tracks so far: Brighter Than a Thousand Suns, For the Greater Good of God and The Legacy. Fuck me The Legacy is amazing.
I also have a big soft spot for Benjamin Breeg.

The Legacy is easily the best song Janick Gers has ever written, maybe aside from The Apparition.

I'm also going to see Sonic Youth this Sunday at the Avalon, their last date on the tour.

Bob Dylan - Bringing it All Back Home.
First Dylan album I completely like.
Time out Mind doesn't do anything for me, and, uh, Blonde on Blonde doesn't either (even though people consider those as some of his best work?). I like what little bit I've heard of Love and theft, but, uh, that's not much of it. And Desire is close but... !@#% you, Joey. Seriously. That's an aweful song. Especially next to, say, Isis, or Black Diamond Bay. Dammit, Joey. WHY DO YOU EXIST AS A SONG. NOBODY LIKES YOU. Gggh.
Also the three-cd set that came with my MUCT 101 ( I thought I signed up for 111. Meh) textbook. It's mostly classical music. I'm not fond of classical music.

I thought that Bob Dylan's best works were universally regarded as
Blonde on Blonde
,
Blood on the Tracks
, and
Highway 61 Revisited
.
Picked up:
Slowdive - Souvlaki
The Hives - Veni Vidi Vicious
Radiohead - My Iron Lung
The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike
Liars - They Threw Us All In a Trench and Stuck a Monument On Top
Explosions in the Sky - How Strange, Innocence
Stereolab - Switched On

I obtained, entirely illegally, Porcupine Tree - Recordings. I don't care, no way I'm paying £50-100 for a copy.
Buying New Soul is seriously an amazing song. Goosebumps all over. Ridiculously melancholy, but the lyrics are incredible.

So today, I finally tracked down something I've wanted since I heard them.
The Young Knives - Voices of Animal and Men
. I also got
The Velvet Underground and Nico
, which is an album I've been meaning to pick up.
