PlayStation 2 RPG Persona 3 is getting its own TV anime spinoff. The show, called Persona -trinity soul-, takes place ten years after the game in a city where the dead have risen with their skins turned inside out. Yummy! The cartoon character designs are being created by the game's character designer, so expect the to hopefully have that same Persona 3 look. Show starts this January in Japan.

Dunno if I wanna watch it, besides only being halfway through the game at this point. Not too many RPGs can succeed in anime form.

But this isn't the first time a MegaTen game spawned an anime.  Devil Children Red and Black books spawned an anime series.  And the anime snippets on the Eternal Punishment bonus disk were awesome.

I'll wait and see on this one.

The anime snippets in P3 weren't exactly high budget, though if it can capture the same feel (and hopefully the same music - I'm a fan of its acquired taste) I'd love it nonetheless.

So am I, but honestly? The Fes OST is pretty weak.

Actually the FES ost was tentatively called "Persona 3: Lost Tracks".
Ha ha.

Yeah, I had the same impression about the anime snippets.  Low budget for sure, they looked kinda odd.  I do think the P3 opening was genius though, I wonder fi they'll do that for the anime...

So, is anyone keeping up with trinity soul? It sucked at first but now it's pretty good (since akihiko is in it). Episodes 16 and 17 rocked. You finally know what the hell is going on.
