Not to be culturally insensitive (because this is honestly pretty horrifying) but it's really funny how the Japanese will consistently make cartoons, movies, and novels about how their civilian populations were bombed but gloss over the fact that their troops ravaged the civilian populations of the Philippines, South Korea, and China. The one-sided quality of their viewpoints makes it hard for me to sympathize with such works.
