I guess that some okay playing, but it pains me to see that somebody fucked up an Explorer with all those wapanese stickers. God, I hope it's a copy and not the real deal. :P
The headstock didn't look like a Gibson headstock to me. The one the kid was playing looked longer and more rounded at the end. Methinks it was a Kramer headstock.
Still, it's not as bad as Flea obtaining a super rare, pre-CBS, 1960's Fender P-bass with a shell pink finish valued at $30K... and immediately slapping a sticker on it. Bass Player magazine managed to snap some pics of the bass before it got to Flea so we could see it before Flea stickered it up. I love Flea and I adore the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I don't like the way Flea stickers up his basses. Stickered up guitars/basses just look cheap to me.
