Well, we've only got a month left. And I, for one, am excited as fuck for this game. Don't even have a PS3, but I have the game preordered. For anyone who hasn't seen these yet: MGS4 theatrical trailer: http://gamevideos.com/video/id/18828Game intro: http://gamevideos.com/video/id/18828Any discussion/speculation?

I hear yah!
I am buying a PS3 specifically for this game! Damn that theatrical trailer is amazing.
I just got through re-playing MGS1-3 & Portable ops (not to mentiond MGS2 a second time) so that I am sharp in preparation.
Biggest video game release of 2008 easy.

I bought the MGS Essential Collection and played through the games in anticipation of this game. I've had my PS3 for awhile now and I need a game that can really show me why I bought the thing in the first place. This looks to be it.

This is actually the only game that's gonna make me regret not having a PS3. I'm going to try to have one before the summer is out though...hopefully. The game looks pretty tight!

Those trailers just look fantastic. Everything about this game just screams perfection; it's going to be wicked.
They even managed to managed to make a line like "Courage is Solid" not sound cheesy. :P

When my tax rebate comes, I'll be buying a PS3 just for this game. The timing is kind of suspicious, in a good way.

I really have to get cracking on replaying the last three games (never got Portable Ops, and I doubt it's essential). Considering that MGS3 took me 20 hours the first time through, and I never really played MGS2 myself, it could take a while.

It has indeed, had to force myself through it just for that reason. Hated the stupid recruitment feature, lack of voice acting and although the comic book scenes were nicely drawn I thought they took away alot of the immersion of previous games. You can probably watch the cut scenes on youtube though, which will give you the basic run down.

Bunch of sites are reporting that MGS4 will have at least one cutscene that is *ninety* minutes long.
Blu-Ray is too small indeed!

Blu-Ray is too small indeed! One of the early reviews said that the ending is supposedly really long and is just as much of a mind-bender as MGS2 was... I'm scared now (not that the game will suck, but that I won't understand)

The only review I've heard about was from the UK PS3 mag and it said everything is wrapped up nicely.
So I'm not too worried.
