I though the original was great too. In fact, I would put it right up there with Okami for sheer enjoyment. I'm really looking forward to the sequel but I wonder if it will measure up to the first one. Well see..

I didn't think this was happening.  I too quite enjoyed BG&E.  I like the upgraded visual style.  It's not like the original was super cartoony or anything.  To me, this is a natural evolution.  Pey'J looks like Pey'J, though his voice is different.  

BG&E had a variety of gameplay elements all done well, so I expect that it won't be like Dreamfall where newly introduced gameplay elements were ridiculously clunky.  DF had a story worthy of The Longest Journey, though.  

And regarding overratedness, overrated doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.  I think Halo's as overrated as it comes, but it's still a pretty good fun game.
