This is that Sega RPG for DS with music by Yasunori Mitsuda. The trailer music reminds me of the song "CREID" from Xenogears. Absolutely awesome.

I saw the trailer on gametrailers.com, and it looked like they ripped off alot from Rogue Galaxy...(not the music)

The music is great but I want to see the game in action and the DS isn't generating graphics like that.

It had one thing of merit... the Teddy Ruxpin/Danger Mouse creature hybrid.  Talk about being out of place.  It made me laugh.

Yeah not a very impressive trailer, but then again, trailers usually don't mean shit unless you already know the games gonna be good.  Ive seen some cool trailers that ended up not being so great games.  Ahh well.

I think seeing unofficial gameplay videos works better. Everyone naturally wants to make their game look as good as possible, and very frequently they'll be assholes and only show CGI and nothing in-game as this shows, but it's more insulting with X360/PS3 games where the graphics are supposed to be awesome and thus not need fucking CGI to represent it.

LOL Teddy Ruxpin!!

This song is beautiful. I need to re-emphasize this point: screw the trailer's visuals with all the CG you apparently don't care about. it's the MUSIC that you should be paying attention to!!!

You mean this?

Looks alright, but switching between anime and CGI movies in the trailer seems kinda weird.

The kid looks like Yuri from Shadow Hearts. I had visions of Breath of Fire IV with the desert scenes. Good song.

I'd say he looks more like Johnny Garland, to be honest. Knife usage, too.

Cool song...  But after that one South Park Episode I can't help but feel it a bit each time I hear a pop-y male vocalist sing. x)

The game certainly looks to have the epic feel and high production values fans like in JRPGs.  Sega's RPG offerings have been spotty of late (few of their offerings lately seem to match Phantasy Star 4 or Skies of Arcadia), so this hopefully signals a return to form.  I have little doubt that this will see a US release.

Of course, given the high production values on the CG & music, the polygonal gameplay graphics, and the limited space on a DS cartridge, I worry that the game will be aesthetically pleasing and fun, but insanely short.  Of course, I don't mind RPGs that clock in under 20 hours; in fact I kinda prefer them since I don't play games as often/frequently and a 15 hour game can keep me busy for a long time.

I'll be keeping an eye on this one.  Normally traditional JRPGs like this don't really excite me (I'm a jaded old curmudgeon), but something about this one has my interest piqued.
