im not one of those people that harps sub over dub. in fact i watch subbed and dubbed bleach. and if i have the option to watch a battle subbed or dubbed i'd go for subbed. those battles crys and such just sound much better from jp voice actors. something else to keep in mind is that english voice acting tends to be better when there is no lip syncing involved.

That makes me wonder if Grandia II's voice acting would have been nearly as good if the characters had mouths. :D
I generally prefer subs just because I like to read.

That's right. Even without foreign voice acting I
always
want subtitles in my games and when they're not there it can make me angry. Depends on how easy it is to hear and follow the dialogue and if I even care about the story.

No one cares about pantomime anymore. Anyone remember Super Mario RPG? Mario's gesturing and hyper active reactions to just about everything is what make him one of the greatest silent protagonists of all time to me. No cheesy voice in japanese or english required. :P
But seriously, I have to laugh everytime someone says they like their games subbed, considering that text is a given in just about ANY game.

WTF?! That was really bad! Horray, for an option for Japanese voice acting! But, if this game doesn't have an english voice acting, probably we never seen this game in english (Sony of America bullshit.)

If it isn't dubbed it'll sell for beans anyway in this country. The only times companies go sub only with anime are when a show is such a niche release that it would actually cost more to get a dub than not.

This is what happens when you have nepotism run rampant. The voice are done by the President (IIRC), his wife and their kids... Not trained professionals, not even remotely experienced... Just the wife and kids, sort of like a Sunday drive through Crappyville...
Mind you, it wasn't the voices that turned me off to the game. It is just a lot of extra mechanics to try and be unique. But yeah, the voices are not even that of a high school drama act.

That makes Robot Alchemical Drive sound like Digital Devil Saga.
That's almost worth getting just *for* the voice acting.

Simply divine.
On an related note, anyone know a good way of cleaning caramel latte off of a computer screen?

Windex, some paper towels, and a LOT of elbow grease (strength varies depending on the type of computer screen). :P

I wouldn't use windex, if you have a CRT monitor, the windex can strip off the antiglare coating.
Water and a microfiber towel!
