Your average joe doesn't give a crap what the bit-rate is, and nor does he likely know what that means, as long as he can get the song he wants.
I think Garth Brooks actually has some valid points(!), though I think forcing people to buy albums *only* is going to piss some people off.
What intrigued me was this quote - ""And if people try to make it a money issue, I can get the full album to the consumer for much less than they can get it at 99 cents a song."
I'm curious what he has in mind.
