Number Two's eyes narrowed and became what are known in the Shouting and Killing People trade as cold slits, the idea presumable being to give your opponent the impression that you have lost your glasses or are having difficulty keeping awake. Why this is frightening is an, as yet, unresolved problem.

I have nothing against technology, but I prefer a physical CD.

Me too.

Your average joe doesn't give a crap what the bit-rate is, and nor does he likely know what that means, as long as he can get the song he wants.

I think Garth Brooks actually has some valid points(!), though I think forcing people to buy albums *only* is going to piss some people off.

What intrigued me was this quote - ""And if people try to make it a money issue, I can get the full album to the consumer for much less than they can get it at 99 cents a song."

I'm curious what he has in mind.

I would never, in my life, pay for an mp3.
If others do, good for them. But I really don't feel bad for them if there are a handful of artists whose albums they are actually going to have to purchase, or download illegally, which is what mp3s are for as far as i'm concerned.
