Yup.  It's free to play now, but has a full cash shop and everything that it entails.

In all honesty, it is pretty good now.

I googled to see just what people thought of the relaunch and read that someone got himself stuck in the floor with what little he tried.

That's funny.

Hellgate was trying to beat Diablo III to the punch when it first launched, wasn't it?  It's been released twice now, and still no Diablo III.  No offense to Diablo III, just saying that Flagship Studios had a lot more time before Diablo III would come out, and didn't need to rush so freakin hard.

Flagship rushed?

I still think they needed more time, given how rough the game was in beta. Or perhaps they needed something other than more time?

Just had to say that I went to the site recently to sign up for a chance at the beta.  They said I had to register a product with them in order to be eligible, so I found my old Diablo II and LoD CDs and registered them. And I thought it was really cool that having done so, they gave me the option to download the software.  I still have the CDs, so I don't need to, but that's still cool. :)

Yeah, I've packed my CDs away. It's awesome to be able to access my Bliz games anywhere now. Easier than using three CDs, too.

I think I've mentioned this before, but I actually have Diablo 2 installed on a USB drive, and it plays just fine on any computer I plug it into. :)

You do not find all Blizzard staff members to be incredibly good looking and charismatic?

Gamespy: « I played the D3 beta and all I have to say is "Why isn't it a first person game?" »

Good thing this place exists, because so many site just post completely retarded crap.

As dumb as the article is, don't put words in his mouth. He only pondered if it had a first person perspective, not if it were a first person shooter.

Ok, edited that. Still a terrible article when considering that they are in the beta and thus can give plenty of much needed information.
