Yeah, that's why I feel stupid now.  Diablo also does the "I'm wearing high heels" walk away from you at one point, putting one foot right in front of the other to enhance the hip effects.

if you end up goin witch doctor, zombie bears is the answer to all of life's problems. and I'm actually kinda excited for the expansion, not for $40 though, might wait it out a bit.

I have a level 60 witch doctor (on PC), but I've never really used zombie anything.  As my regular attack, I use firebomb with the ghost bomb rune, although I used the one that makes it bounce six times for a long time.  Secondary is Locust Swarm with Pestilence - I love how it splits off over and over to damage a whole herd of enemies.  I've got both of the summons, and then I use Soul Harvest with Soul to Waste (because I forget to cast it if it only lasts 30 seconds) and Spirit Barrage with Manitou.  That one's great because it's always firing at people, even if you get frozen or stuck behind a wall.

But I might try Zombie Bears as a replacement for Locust Swarm.  The internet says it's a good skill. :)

I was very sad when my level 59 hardcore Demon Hunter died the other day.  Took it as a sign that I should play some other stuff for a while.

I'm with you on the expansion, too.

I can't play Hardcore, my internet connection is far too choppy :(

(Yes, though I am happy Blizzard is making changes to the loot system, I'm still a bit sour about the server-side structure)

Yeah, playing hardcore on PC is an extremely risky proposition.  I've tried it, but I don't want to risk lag death.  My demon hunter was on PS3.  (I've got both because I reviewed the console version for RPGFan.)

On pc you always seem to get a lag except if you have a really really good internet connection. That is why i prefer console too at times.

I don't know if anyone could predict the timing, but my total guess would be when the expansion hits.

I'm really not sure how to feel about the new difficulty settings in Diablo 3. On one hand, it's nice you don't have to beat the game to unlock higher difficulty levels. On the other hand, as I've said about Elder Scrolls in the past, monster level scaling kind of defeats one of the core reasons I like RPG's.

Does seem strange.  I'm updating now, and when I'm done, I'll start an RPGFan clan.  I'll call it The Emerald Shield, like the one on FFXIV.  Let me know if you want in!

Edit: actually, I'm not sure if I should make a Clan or a Community.  Meh, I'll make both.

I played for an hour and found 3 yellows better than my legendaries. The game seems to be me giving me a reason to play again. That's enough for now.

The new bonuses are pretty interesting, too.  I got some shoulders that make it so picking up gold gives experience.  No idea how much, but still, it's something new!

I created a Clan and a Community called The Emerald Shield, and I put a tag on the Clan of RPGFan.  I can't remember if I had the option of tags on Communities, but if I did, hopefully I put it on there too.  Trying to get back in to verify.  If anyone wants an invite for the clan, let me know!  I think anyone at all can join the Community.

I'm really enjoying the changes, especially since my Demon Hunter is now more than a blood pimple waiting to pop from the slightest attack.  Loots is coming at a great rate, and the paragon points keep me interested in leveling.  Really excited to see where the adventure mode takes the game once the full expansion comes out.
