Made no real sense for it to be DEX since DEX was strictly defined with the in-game tooltips as a ranged stat, but congrats on getting a completely arbitrary guess for something that doesn't really matter correct.

They also announced they'll be wearing MNK gear, so I guess they'll be adding DEX onto those sets? I guess MNKs will enjoy the increased parry or whatever.

Monks in FF have never been associated with serious ranged attacks, always massive hp and strength. I'm more leaning towards Hathen's logic of dex being added to monk gear, though I doubt it's gonna adjust other stats to make room for it. As he said, it's more or less an arbitrary stat for non bards and tanks. Hell even tanks benefit very little from it.

That being said, Ninja is statting to sound less savory every day...

Heavensward:

I'm just happy we get to go to Ishgard and that the trailer is incredibly dragoon-centric.

Also the Dark knight tease from FanFest.

Carry on.

Dark Knight has been revealed as a two-handed sword tanking job that has no base class to branch from.

Can't say I expected that. It's going to drive my OCD insane that some jobs have classes and some don't. Oh well.

Also of note is that Yoshi was wearing a 007 T shirt, and they also announced that we'll have flying mounts, so perhaps that says something about what the maps in Ishgard will be like.

Not a whole lot of info this time around, but I'm "looking forward to it".

Guess I'll still have a tank offspec even in 3.0!

The flying mounts thing has me puzzled and simultaneously intrigued as far as how one would implement such a thing in a game that has a lot of fade-to-black zoning and an inability to cross any watery areas that are deeper than a foot.  Guess we'll see.
