Scans:

A new turn-based fantasy RPG for Wii from MMV (Harvest Moon, King Story) and imageepoch (Luminous Arc, World Destruction) was revealed in Famitsu this week, the director is Hiroyuki Kanemaru who used to work at Telenet and Namco Tales Studio.

Staff credits:
Producer (Marvelous Entertainment): Hideyuki Mizutani
Development Producer (imageepoch): Ryoei Mikage
Director (imageepoch): Hiroyuki Kanemaru (Tales of series)
Scenario: Takumi Miyajima (Team Symphonia)
Composition/Music Director: Yasunori Mitsuda
Character Design: Kenichi Yoshida (Eureka 7)
Roguresu Design: Shin Nagasawa (Bahamut Lagoon)

I think the scans look pretty impressive, I hope it turns out well.

Agreed.  I like what I see so far and it's turn based.  I'll always be a turn based girl at heart :-)  Major points there in my book, really surprised it'll be on the wii actually.

Looks flashy.  I don't know if thats good.  For one, the fancy blonde lad immediately tells me I won't like him.

Looks nice. Sort of Tales-ish, but nice regardless.

The artwork kinda somewhat a little bit reminds me of Captain Harlock.

Anyway, looks interesting.

Looked pretty good... until I saw Mitsuda was doing the music. I think I'll pass.

The composer of a game affects your buying decision?

It reminds me of Eureka Seven. That purple-haired chick looks like Talho from E7.

Anyways, hope the games is good. The Wii needs some RPGs aside from ToS2 and FE.

Yep, the character designs were done by Kenichi Yoshida.  He also did the character designs for Eureka 7.

I don't think Mitsuda's bad at all, although his talent certainly is wasted at times (like in Xenosaga, which was often music-less, though that is more likely the fault of whoever was in charge of putting his music in the game, whatever that position is).

This is an excellent question. Answer it PM, answer it!

My guess is he'll say that Mitsuda's gone downhill since the Xenogears/Chrono Trigger days. This is pretty universally recognized as fact, that his work hasn't been as good since he left Square.

But a lot of people think that changed with "Soma Bringer." And, IMO, the music in the "World Destruction" trailer was also excellent.

I've been working with some other collaborators on an interview with Mitsuda. He said he had a big game he was working on that *wasn't* World Destruction, but he couldn't tell us what it was. I guess we know now, and maybe we can press him for more details about this game.

IMO, the game looks beautiful, and I definitely want it. The fact that it's on Wii is even better, since Wii needs more "epic" RPGs on it.
