I bought it for $18 at Gamestop w/manual. Alot less than $40 to me.
 And I hated FFIII so I wasn't too sure about FFIV DS, ya know what I mean?
 Well, I shoulda waited. No big.

you revive Crono, because the entire thing was just handled sort of poorly. I don't have a problem with the Time Egg amounting to deus ex machina on a pretty blatant and massive scale. I AM annoyed that what WAS a fairly well done scene -- Crono getting killed -- was completely diminished by the fact that you replace him with a doll you won at the carnival.

What the fuck? Seriously.

Additionaly though there ARE some things in Trigger that sort of change the meaning of the story like

the entire Entity bit there. Not so much because of stupid ZOMG THE ENTITY IS THE PLAYER bollocks (And I can't think of any way anyone would even come to that conclusion unless they're incapable of parsing sentences. It's something they don't under) but because "Well, the Entity is near-death and wants us to see its memories" is NOT the same thing as "Well, the Entity wanted us to save it".

Also if they make a third Chrono game, they should set it entirely in Zeal. I don't care about anything else. I just want more Zeal.

Anyway, I hope the music comes out alright. It's not that I think CT had the best soundtrack ever or anything, but it's that CT's music is massively important to the game as a whole. It makes the game... dimensional.

PSX also had a capable sound system, though. I'm worried they'll botch the emulation somehow. I mean, I'm concerned as a whole as this sounds less like a chance for a new generation of gamers to experiance a timeless classic and more like a chance for a new generation of gamers to get sold something that didn't cost a whole lot to make.

As I said before. There's definitely stuff from Chrono Trigger that got cut, definitely stuff from Chrono Trigger that got cut that fans want to play, and definitely stuff from Chrono Trigger that could be rebalanced or expanded or whatever. I'm surprised they're not adding a hard mode, honestly. I'd buy CT again for a hard mode, and I'm sure a lot of other people would too.

It just sort of bugs me because they could actually make Chrono Trigger perfect or damn near it, and they're... not. and maybe this is just driving me crazier because because I'm playing that Dragon Warrior 3 GBC port/remake, and that's a REALLY great example of how to essentially leave alone but fix outstanding problems and add enough new content to make it feel more complete.
