So the whole (kinda) songlist came out the other day for RB2 with some cool other tidbits of information. I gotta say I'm impressed with the song list way more than any other rhythm game, if you're giving me Painkiller, with Battery, with Peace Sells with Livin on a Prayer there's no way I'm not buying it. Of course I've bought every guitar based rhythm game since the original GH except for 80s and Aerosmith, and I still plan on GH:WT so I guess I'm just a consumer whore. Although I'm going to ignore Konami's entry into the genre and just pretend it doesn't exist.
Now I'm just going to have to find a way to deal with the fact that they will make Battery 8x harder on the plastic guitar then it is on a real guitar *looks at Raining Blood like the asshole it is*

Let's put it this way - if Rock Band 2 uses the same hardware as Rock Band, I'm definitely in. I already know that I'm not getting the next Guitar Hero, because I don't want to have a second drum set filling up my living room.

These damn music games need to stop coming out year after year. I don't know how to justify buying the same game every stinking year with minimal changes (looking at you EA.)

RB1 instruments work with RB2 just fine. I'm still buying the insturment pack because one of my guitars is crapping out on me and RB2 has much quieter drums appearantly.

I <3 music games a ton. So much that I'm stoked to see a remake of Samba De Amigo coming out on the Wii so that I don't have to pull out my Dreamcast and maracas to play it.

It's like buying an expansion pack to a game - Rock Band 2 is 80 songs for less than $1 each, way better than the price of the DLC.
Gameplay is nearly identical, but I actually prefer the old guitar. I'm one of the few that likes the 'squishy' strum bar. New drum kit is much less noisy, which is nice.

Not sure about this one. I have a few friends who I would like to be able to do an online BWT with, but there's only like, 4 songs that I actually like on this set list. I may just buy the game itself, and if it's good enough, the new version of the guitar (though I prefer the GH controllers over the Strat). I liked the drums at first, but I really don't care for it. I may also just buy the GH4 game itself and not the bundle, if I can snag the guitar without the drums.

If that's all then
don't worry about it.

Very, very smart move. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt that way. Thanks for the info!
