And leave it to the internet to dedicate a wiki page to them.

Everyday I ask myself why guys like breasts so much... and how I have the luxury of playing with mine everyday as some [starwars] geeks can only dream.

Probably because it symbolizes fertility in most mammals.

In case none of you want to read that page, I'm going to quote the best thing from that page:

Quote
Other sentient species retained strong breastfeeding traditions as well: female Wookiees had six breasts, which they used to nurse their large litters of cubs.

You may now start picturing Chewbacca doing his famous roar while six tiny wookies (Or if Lucas was directing, six of Chewbacca himself) nurse off of him.

The first thing that came to my mind when I read that page was that this article is as close as said article's author has gotten to breasts.

They're soft and bouncy and you can do lots of things to them.

It's not great literature, I know, but I read a lot of fantasy books, and I think that pretty often as I read them.  Robert Jordan was the worst - it feels like every time his female characters are alone, they end up topless.  Then there's Piers Anthony and his obsession with panties...

Anyway, here's a classic for anyone who hasn't seen it:

There have been lots of books that describe breasts, even in normal literature. I once read a book that spent like four or five pages describing a woman. Two of those were devoted to her breasts.

On a similar/lighter note, I found that Philip Pulman [Amber Spyglass, etc] also likes breasts... as he has to find a place to insert the word "breast" in every page of all his books... even when describing men and boys. I think it's innocent enough though, it's just one of his favorite words... eh, maybe it's a Brittish thing.

"A dark foreboding welled up in Lyra's breast."

"Lee Scorsbee clutched the old pistol to his breast, taking a moment to rest."

"The Gyptians wore ivory pendants at their breasts."

Good god, man, when I started reading "His Dark Materials", I had no idea the entire series was simply about breasts!

Thus reminds me of the episode of South Park where Mr. Garrison was writing a book and had the word 'penis' in it about 2,000 times, and how every similie/metaphor had something to do with penises.
