DEA think Olson might have been Ledger's connection for the painkillers he took.  She wants immunity before she'll talk.

So she needs immunity from prosecution because...?

Just look at that picture.  She looks like a crack dealer.  IF the cops see her like that they'll arrest her immediately.

On a serious note, the whole things seems extremely bizarre but I guess this could somehow link her to something that could land her into serious trouble, though I don't see how.

If you run, it only makes you look guilty.  In a similar vein, Olsen demanding immunity only makes her appear defensive and suspicious.

I don't need to state the obvious, but yeah, the Olsen twins totally have lost their innocence...  But, one thing that drives me nus is how they always look have asleep/cracked up and they're about to fall over.  I can't remember the last time I've seen them smile. =(

It's a form of self defense. Sometimes, if you say something the least bit incriminating, the police will arrest you for it because they misconstrue it. It was likely advice from her lawyer.
