May it be so much better than how craptastic V was.
You mean IV? Because V was awesome.

V has some issues I think, but it's mostly too easy and kinda drags, and I'd need to beat (then re-beat?) the game to fairly say. Since it's so easy and it's been too long since I've played maybe I should be finishing that up next rather than something like Tales of the Abyss. Or Final Fantasy IV since that's short and I've played through each part of the game so often I think I could easily hop back in and get my bearings rather than being completely lost.

Fixed.
Actually, thank you. I actually agree with this correction. There were parts that I liked about IV, though.

III would've been awesome if the last fourth/fifth didn't suck and the battle system tweaked and sped up. IV was a serviceable but ultimately unimpressive game that handled camera and towns more the way I want RPGs to do them, and SuikV fixed the combat/story issues while taking away what I DID like about SuikIV.
Also MeshGearFox is a troll that lives under a bridge.

On a further note, I want to say I fucking heart Suiko Tactics, btw.

Boo hoo it doesn't fit into exactly what I want from a Suikoden game.

I don't mind if a game has a low level of difficulty, but I wouldn't mind either if they gave me a challenge every now and then. I play rpgs almost exclusively, though, so "harder" for them is usually just cheap bosses or stupid item quests for bragging rights.

Honestly I don't have a huge problem with a game so long as it's a lot of fun, but in SuikV it's just a speed bump as you're going around. To be fair you would die eventually if you ignored healing, but the occasional challenge spike would've been good rather than making me feel like I'm being excessive when I use manual control.

True enough, though I tend to be ok with it, id rather have easy than hard I suppose. Plus you are arguing with the Suiko fanbase...we are pretty diehard lol ><.

Look at me! I'm tough because I bash something on the Internetz!
When did this turn into a shit on Suikoden thread?
All I hope is that it's not on a handheld, a high amount of attention is paid to story and it has a great soundtrack.
I can deal with soso graphics.

You don't need a DVD or blu-ray to tell a good story.

Fair enough, but I've already stated my reasons why I think it will work on a console vs a handheld, I'm not going to drudge up that argument again.
