... it's amazing how quickly Konami have literally hurled themselves down the shitter this gen.

What the hell's wrong with you? Only one of those games is even out and it's just following the series norm.

I was about to say the same thing. Plus I love the DS Castlevania's and Order of Ecclesia looks freaking sweet. I have nothing against Konami.

Yeah, that proves it. You're completely delusional.

Did you try Subsistence?

No, because I already paid 30 dollars for the original and I'm not a chump.

Yeah, my punctuation is pretty shitty, I admit.

Trust me - it makes a *world* of difference.

And it makes it the best MGS game IMO.

I'd rather spend the money I could've spent on Subsistence -- which I believe I saw for sale at a gamestop in Gettysburg, or maybe it was somewhere else. I miss that town. I like geography. Help me shapes -- on a tree or something. That's what I did with FES, and my metesequoia is so fucking awesome.

I don't see why they just don't go back to the Suikoden 2 graphic style. The backgrounds look nice but the character models look horrible. Its not really a problem but I would think that a S2 look would be easier and more appealing then that.

I just hope the series does not turn into the way FF:Tactics did when it went to Nintendo. I know FF:Tactics Advanced(never played part 2) had a ton of fans but that game's story was just so downhill from the original and it just became so soft.

It already seems to have a 4 party system similar to S4 and the art style is completely different from any Suikoden. Right now that spells disaster for me, but I want to wait and see first.

Still though, a new Suikoden is better than no Suikoden. I'm really interested where this game will take place, considering all Suikodens interconnect with each other.

I just hope they don't have a 'It's just a handheld, we don't need to put as much effort into it' mentality. 4 person partly limit already has me feeling like it's a downgrade.

Hey, maybe they’ll make the battle system interesting in this one.

Other than S3, what's wrong with the battle system?

Admittedly I’ve only played 5, but it was just so... boring. Like, the most bland battle system you could have, and it was kinda slow with stiff looking animations and everything looked washed out. Oh, and the loading before and after took way longer than I was expecting. It just wasn’t fun.

I wouldn't want the series to go back to the second game's graphics- while the fifth game was seriously lacking detail I would actually prefer them doing that instead of going back to full 2d.

But I guess if they're going for DS...yeah, I guess 2d would be better since almost all the 3d I've seen on the DS is just painful to look at.

To me, the only thing good about V was the story. The game itself, as well as a large chunk of the stars, was pretty boring. In fact, that's the way all the Suikodens feel to me. The battle system has never really wow'd me in any way. The only one where I had a little more fun with the battle system was III (Yeah I guess I'm weird like that).

As for this game, it looks incredibly boring, especially the characters. I can't quite put my finger on it, but they feel even less interesting than the characters of any past Suikoden. The battle system just looks like Suiko IV's, which makes me scratch my head because as far as I know, everyone considers that the worst of the series.

Means nothing until we see some results. I still think Konami is leagues ahead of Sega and many others.

If Mad World has even an 1/8th of God Hand’s awesomeness it’s going to be brilliant.
