Number Two's eyes narrowed and became what are known in the Shouting and Killing People trade as cold slits, the idea presumable being to give your opponent the impression that you have lost your glasses or are having difficulty keeping awake. Why this is frightening is an, as yet, unresolved problem.

So, apparently, Tactics and S5 composer Norikazu Miura will be Music Director and composer for Tierkreis.

So that's one bit of *good* news at least.

That's a big plus then. I enjoyed both S5 and Tactics' soundtracks.

I realized that I dislike the art style because it reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and FFXII Revenant Wings. Both games had a very 'kiddy' art style, I think, and without a more refined style, I think it might be hard to take the game's story seriously unless it's some kind of whimsical romp the entire way through.

Okay. Kiddie artstyle.

This is, essentially, why I liked Romancing Saga's puppety looking characters and was more neutral to FFIII and IV DS' (Although please keep in mind I never played FFIV and I'm only going from screenshots here. It does look a lot better than III, though).

Anyway, while FF3's take on super deformed was rather cute, RS' characters looked more like satanic wooden dolls. The former strikes me as just a tad bit generic. The latter strikes me as unnerving and whimsical, which is also how I felt about Amano's FFVI art.

So, back to the FFT games. I can't really identify why, but again, FFT struck me as really whimsical, and FFTA... not... as much. I guess.

(Or for another example, legend of mana and sword of mana have a similar art style, but lom's characters are so positively fucked up that it's a lot more memorable, whereas sword just had sort of genericy designs)

I guess to expand that, though, you could also say that TWEWY and Revenant Wings/FFTA2 aren't that different in style, TWEWY just had more memorable character designs. Or something. I don't know.

How many of the 108 characters in Suik 1 are optional?
