One time I tried to drop out of highschool and my great grandfather killed a bunch of confederates during the civil war.

That and really doesn't imply any sort of real connection between those two sentences, mind, and only one of those clauses is true.

The best part is in a couple/few years when the Guitar Hero fad dies out and the guy's livelihood will go down the toilet.

I can concede that some people aren't cut out for school, and it's perfectly fine to home tutor yourself or get your GED or what not, but for this? I think that's why most people are pointing fingers and going 'ha ha!'
