Masashi Hamauzu is becoming a favorite of mine, and I'm looking forward to him composing Final Fantasy XIII. Also, Yoko Shimomura composing Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

Izuho Numata and M Nakagaki, because the Phantasy Star IV soundtrack is the best damn soundtrack ever written.
P Star IV's soundtrack is sweet. Zio's battle theme might be one of the coolest ever.
Also Noriyuki Iwadare. He's the Grandia II guy right? For some reason I enjoyed that a lot.
And the early Suiko composers, not sure if they're still the same ones as the current ones but I prefer Suiko 1-3's soundtracks.

Right now my favorite is Meguro. I loved FFXIII's ost so Hamauzu is another one of my current favorites. Nier's soundtrack is blowing my mind so whoever is responsible for that (can't remember any names right now) is on the top of my list along with Meguro.
I still listen to a lot of Uematsu, specially FFVIII stuff.
I also can't remember the name of the composer for xenogears but that's also one of my favorite.
But yeah, Meguro is rocking my world these days.

Hamauzu.
With Yoshitaka Hirota as probably "most original" award.

Hamauzu really shocked me when I heard the Sigma Harmonics soundtrack. One of his bests. That game needs to come to America dammit!

You can't forget about Yuzo Koshiro in a composer thread.
Ever since I played Streets of Rage when I was a wee lad, this song has been stuck in my head. It's still stuck in my head.

YES YES YES! God, I freaking loved that song when I first played the game, and it's still great today. Good call on Yuzo, Din.
Actraiser had some amazing music.

YES! That was one of my favorites in the 16 bit days. Nothing could touch the soundtrack of the first sonic though.

Yeah, I always liked the music in the Sonic games. It just fit so perfectly. Heck, I even liked the Isometric Sonic on the Saturn. It had a great soundtrack.

IMO the sega saturn version of sonic 3d blast soundtrack by Richard Jacques was the best soundtrack in the whole series by far.
