I'd tale Chrono Cross' series of islands... I'm pretty sure living in that place would make it impossible to suffer a heart attack, heart failure, or any other stress/pressure related problems.

Despite my love/hate for the game, I thought Radiata Stories had an awesome world..

I can't seem to narrow this question down to one planet either.

How about the Paper Mario world? Just think what you could do with your paper thinness...

Seriously, a futuristic world would be pretty amazing, for the technology, if nothing else. Mass Effect's alternate reality would be interesting; you could meet Wrex. I've always enjoyed fantasy settings too, like a D&D type world, closer to reality than a JRPG. The Forgotten Realms would be neat.

Most RPG worlds are pretty dangerous though, unless you're counting Harvest Moon. Usually there are monsters everywhere that would kill a normal person in less than a minute. I'm not sure I'd want to live in the average JRPG world. You'd be walking between your home town and the neighboring town and get randomly attacked by three or four wolves and a slime.

I was also thinking about the world in Baten Kaitos. I've never personally played through the game, so someone will have to back me up if they agree with me. I did get occasional glimpses of the towns and whatnot when my cousin stayed over at my place for a few months, though, and I remember it being completely beautiful to look at from a design standpoint. All of the locales that I saw looked peaceful, and quite livable, especially that first town with all the straw huts and orange, tentacle trees swaying around.

Baten Kaitos would be pretty sweet. It's a good mix of traditional fantasy, steampunk, and aerofantasy.

Sketch beat me to the punch.

I'm playing Origins right now, and it's so so beautiful. Plus, I'd love to have a chance to make use of some blank magnus, and having wings would be pretty neat.

Another one I wouldn't complain about would be Star Ocean 2's world. I could cook, make jewelry, have a bird go to the store for me, fight goat demons that fall from the ceiling, forge documents and use 'em to steal someone's inn, and write awesome novels.

And, uh, ride a giant bunny, too. :/

Chrono Cross, hands down. I liked the whole Aruni village scene and hey-- there's always a modern setting nearby (Termina anyone?).

Ivalice and FFIX's worlds are pretty tempting too.

I've actually always wanted to live in the Pokemon world, to be an actual Pokemon trainer. I think it would be so awesome to go around the world collecting as many different kinds as I could, and raising my favorites. Perhaps it's just my inner-child coming out, but I honestly think it would be an amazing alternate reality. That's one of the appeals of the games, after all.

I haven't played as many RPGs as most of you guys...but of the ones I've played, it'd probably be X-2 Spira. No more impending death from Sin, Summoners and Guardians gone soft-porn.

When I read the title of the thread, the first thought that came to mind was: I'd definately not want to live in the Junkyard.

For me i have to say either the Persona games or Shin Megami Tensei. (Hey at least you get to choose sides when the world gets destroyed or something)

ah yeah, agreed

i don't like these medieval or sci fi worlds, i'd rather modern cities that imitate RL (to live in, not play)
