Honestly, I'm not sure if it's possible to make it effective at all. The only part of the site where I can imagine this being useful is The Helper Monkey portion. Generally rep is used on sites where people are often asking for help or information (Imageboards, Computer stuff, etc). Generally for discussion boards the rep system just ends up being used for firing nukes everywhere, and making it culmulative makes it even worse. Anybody who's ever used a board at Allakhazam will know how flawed and annoying a system like this is, because helpful posts will get swept under the rug if they don't write a 10-page essay about it.

But that's only in the case of a dumbass community. In a community that's nice like this one, I don't imagine anyone caring much for it at all.
