Meant to pick this up today, and forgot. Did anyone else?

First impressions?

Can't find any reviews for it. :/

Correction - There is one review for it so far. IGN gave it an 8.5.

"SEGA needs to be rewarded for cranking out an experience like this, and doing it on the anniversary of the Dreamcast's launch is just icing on the cake."

Sounds good to me.

I picked this up on the 10th.

I got the one and only copy they had ordered at the GS I went to.

Yes the IGN review is right on the money. I'm only on Chapter 2, but the story telling and atmosphere make this more than a worthy purchase, and the combat system is already starting to really flesh out early on, great game.. It's just too bad there aren't more like this.

I said this in the gaming thread but It's the first with with a story that seems like it'll be better, a refined battle system and a great soundtrack. Basically, it's awesome.

I just grabbed a copy at work today. I loved the first one and this apparently tops it so I guess it won't dissapoint:)

I'm now in chapter 4 but I have a question if anyone else is playing. I'm trying to earn 300,000 to pay the informant but i'm not really good at the mini-games, especially Mah-Jhong or whater.  I'm just walking around fighting people but I was wondering where my item box is. I got loads of stuff from the lockers that I could sell but I have no idea where to find my item box.

I guess I have no other choice but to pick it up next week (PAL release is 09/19).

Spoilers (not really, but better safe than sorry) for the first game:
Code:
I only hope that there's no little girl nonsense that plagued the first game. If only they had focused more on the relationship between Kazuma and Akira, but no, they just HAD to turn it into a babysitting simulator.

I'll have to check this one out. The IGN review really peacked my interest. And there isn't much going on on the PS2 anyway.

I realize you probably are past this point, but there is another way to get the information without paying the 300,000

How is the loading compared to the first Yakuza? That was my only problem with the game as a random battle with one enemy would load as long as a battle with 6. Regardless I'm picking this up. =]
