Menu interface for battles looks like Etrian Odyssey. Looks like a traditional RPG with Etrian Battle system. :P That sounds kinda neat actually.

The more I look into this game, the more excited I get about it.  I really like the visuals, and premise for the game.

Sorry, double post.

I really love the take on the 1st person battle system that they've done here. It doesn't waste time in battle to switch to the 3rd person perspective to show animations for your characters. Not that I don't like that in the recent Dragon Quest games, but I thought this was really interesting and creative.
