I have Star Ocean... 2, I think for the PS1. I honestly wasn't too into it. It felt too complicated for me, like it threw too much at me at once or something. Didn't care for the setting either if I remember right.  I dunno, that had to be 10 years ago though. I played maybe 5 hours into ti before I stopped. I did see the trailer for this a few months ago, and it does look amazing.

What it means is that while like all second party ,Microsoft games, if you look at the credits, have Microsoft employees working it, it also has a good deal of outsourcing (outside of Tri-Ace) much like many Microsoft published games, including members of Feelplus+. Now it's still a Tri-Ace developed game but I expect Star Ocean 4 to have less outside help than IU.

Nice renders. It's typical SO but I think the characters look great and it's definitely a huge step up from SO3.
