ChronoTrigger? Suikoden II? Shining Force II? Shining Force III? Phantasy Star IV? KotoR II? FF Tactics? Teranigma? FFIX? Grandia II? SMT: DDS2? Castlevania: SotN?
Right now, I'd say Shining Force III. The only thing that holds me back is that I can't understand 2/3 of the damned thing!!! (more like 3/4, if you include the Premium Disc!!).
For now..! ;)

lol, if the only reason someone would hate ff7 would be because they think it's "cool", "edgy" or "hip" to bash it, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't even bother with mentioning they hate it. I just find the game to be distasteful and the impact it had on the industry to be distasteful. Don't assume others hate the game just to be "cool" "edgy" or "hip" on the internet.
Anyways. If Shining Force II gets to be an rpg, then Nethack counts as an rpg. I choose Nethack. :P

Final Fantasy 6... played it after Final Fantasy 1 so it was a quality jump, my 4th RPG i believe.

I am a newbie to this site.
I wonder why nobody picked up PC title.
Personally, the best RPG is Baldur's Gate: Shadows of Amn and its expansion, Throne of Bhaal.
I played a lot of RPG's like you guys but I guess my most memorable fights are here in this game.
