I assume you played Ys VI on PSP, 'cause the other versions are pretty darned good.
PS2. A few things I remember:
* Soundtrack had this 80's Muzak vibe to it.
* Really boring dungeon designs.
* Nothing resembling depth or variety.
* Adol felt incredibly weightless, and I thought the controls were really floaty.
* Basically, it's Q3 to Terranigma's UT.
