I can't wait to play it. This time you can continue roaming the wasteland even after finishing the game. And with the new level cap there is renewed motivation to explore the rest of the wasteland and blow the living crap out of everything in sight. There are also 7 new sidequests. The main quest is supposed to be 7 hours so that's longer than the previous DLCs.
For those who played the pitt, which side did you choose?

I sided with their leader, forgot the name.

Me too, I just couldn't bring myself to kidnap the baby and the name Sandra means a lot to me in real life so I couldn't do that to her :-)
I wanted that armor though...
Anyway, I'm on the last mission of broken steel. I'm loving it, without doing any sidequests I'm almost at level 24 already. You spend most of the time fighting death claws and enclave soldiers and you also get a ton of experience at the end of the missions. The tesla cannon rocks!
It's running very smoothly, no crashes or bugs like in the pitt. When I was playing the pitt I actually had to lower my settings because of the frame rate, I usually get some slowdown in closed spaces but it's always smooth as silk in open areas.

I bought Broken Steel and The Pitt over the weekend. Man, I wish I had kept my old saves when I uninstalled the game. I've decided to at least finish the Wasteland Survival Guide with this new character before I move on to the new stuff.

Man, I wish I had gotten The Pitt with Broken Steel. Then the exp wouldn't have gone to waste....

That's true. But getting to level 30 isn't as hard as I thought it would. I'm pretty sure I'll be 24 by the time I finish BS, probably really close to 25. Considering that BS has 7 new sidequests and that I haven't explored everything yet in the original game I'll be at 30 before I know it.

Guess I'll just skip over the rest of the DLC then! I only bought Operation Anchorage, deciding to just buy the next two together whenever I finished the game, and now it'd be $10 more to just rebuy it for the PC. Since my computer could definitely handle Fallout 3 now I may as well just wait.

That game of the year edition is a steal for people who haven't bought the original game yet.

Or if they haven't bought the DLC and want it on another platform.

Man, the alien bit is really pushing it for me. I mean, come on, the aliens in FO1 & FO2 were supposed to be gags.
Oh well, at least the swamp one sounds rather interesting. Here's hoping there'll be less a focus on straight up combat for the newer DLCs.

Now that I look at that, it does seem like it's going to take the gag the next step further that it probably shouldn't. Not unless they go and make it ambiguous about whether it happens at all or something and lets the players come to their own conclusions, then never mind.

Well, in broken steel it's obvious that the enclave was investigating alien technology.
