I decided to give this a shot as well to see how it is. Pretty neat so far, though it is too early to tell. It's something I'll just mess with once in a while. Perhaps we should meet up somewhere for kicks for those who are still playing the beta.

Got a code from being on the Atlus mailing list. Since I hit 80 in WoW, it might be worth installing.

They really chose a bad time to launch the beta though. Finals + P4 pretty much prevents me from playing it.

I have exactly the same problem. :(
A friend of mine got into the beta as well, and she loves it.
I will definitely try it out before XMas, but the majority of my time will be spent on Persona 4.

Does anyone else have the problem where in the beginning when the one Demon Buster talks to you while your out exploring, her words get cut off because the box is to small? Its kind of annoying, especially if that kind of npc chatter is common throughout the rest of the game. I tried to find a way to modify it, but I couldn't see anything.

That's the kind of crap you'll always see in the beta, they definitely need to work on the translation and text formatting a LOT.

its not bad right now, I'm impressed they retained the fusion system, and all the regular demons that actually follow you around so you can control them, so thats not bad...
its just a shame that the game becomes insanely difficult at the first dungeon, that you cant solo it so you need to find a party, and no ones on...
also its really laggy and glitchy, sometimes you need to click something 2-3 times before the action happens, which is irritating, so I've taken to long range, yeah theres guns too... just in case a glitch up and end up being rushed by monsters... its very hard.. but I guess its back to grinding..
fans should def try it out though

It's a beta of an English version of a game that's existed in a non-beta form for years. So...yeah. It'll probably continue to be glitchy.
Anyway, Open Beta has started.

I've tried the game and it is just too slow for me. I mean the game has an interesting setup, but I can't keep myself interested long enough to enjoy it.
I'm more of a console RPG player, anyway. But it is nice to branch out and try something new. Especially, since it is free.

If you're willing to see the acts through, it does have a good story, and recreates the SMT atmosphere pretty well.
Some of the later environments are nice, like Nakano, Arcadia, and Shinjuku Babel.

The leveling's so slow that I thought I was playing a Korean MMO there. :p Other than that though, I'm kind of surprised that Atlus opted not to handle this particular localization under their Atlus Online division because it seems a rather appropriate SMT title.

I agree completely. The leveling system could have been better. I would have played more of it if it was.

What, if anything, is Atlus doing with their "Online" division?
Also, I just got ahold of the SOUNDTRACK for this MMO. I doubt it'll be that great, but review is forthcoming.
