Yeah so I stumbled onto Fox News' webpage while GIS'ing for pictures of cute foxes, because that's how it goes.
And I found an article, from which this quote is taken:
The seventh-grade history assignment asked students to name the Five Pillars of Islam and to summarize Islamic beliefs and practices, "Fox and Friends" reported today.
It also provided a barcode for students to scan with their cell phone in order to listen to a Muslim prayer online.
The mother wrote on the sheet that her son will “not be a part of this in any sort of way” and directed the school to call her lawyer.
I'm nonplussed about the bigotry. I'm nonplussed about the posturing and threats to involve a lawyer. What I can't get is, like, QR codes on homework assignments. I can't think right now. I don't understand anything. I just want to buy some land and raise donkeys/minicows and not talk to people.
