FFXI "Q&A"

If I had had a cassette tape to make an official transcript, we'd call it an "interview" and throw it in the features section. However, I was caught off guard and was only able to take notes. So, for the lot of you who are still going strong on FFXI, we've posted a Q&A as a news story. It's quite lengthy. Plz read. ^^

I dont play FFXI anymore and dont really care about it but that was a damned good interview. Good read for anyone in the MMO world.

Nice interview. I quit FFXI as well as the whole MMO world recently (1 month before the ToAU release) but still nice read. Some interesting info.

I'd dump WoW for FFXI if two things changed... two major things.

1. If they actually made Health and Mana potions affordable.

2. If they actually made it easier to kill monsters that actually matched their "check" status, and at the same time, they'd adopt the "elite" mob system WoW has, so if people want to get much higher experience points as a party, they can still get their exp in the traditional way.

... But of course, that won't ever happen. :P

Not enough to drink them constantly or anything, but one neat thing from the expansion is that the assaults drop medicine. Just winning two I got a hi-potion, a remedy and a hi-potion tank(20 charges). Next time some event requires hi-pots, I've got 'em.
