Star Ocean 2 - Moderate
I was going through a bad time as school when I picked up SO2, so the idea of being whisked away to some exotic planet sounded just dandy.  But more than that, I loved how the game took you from a futuristic Earth to a really pretty, nature-filled planet; I think the town music in both Arlia and Mars (this song being from the latter) definitely give off that idea of being far from home, but still peaceful with that.

Well, let me place this one down then:
Star Ocean 3 - Calm Mind Reflected in the Pupil

Also, I'm such an airhead. I didn't realize Nobuo's "Waltz for the Moon" during the ballroom scene is just an arrangement of Julie's theme/Eyes on Me. My sister pointed this out to me while I was playing the theme and told me I was playing the ballroom theme. I told her no I wasn't it, until it dawned on me while I was making coffee moments later that's it the same theme, just arranged as a waltz. She surpassed her game music superior that day...I taught her well.

These beats are FRESH.

EDIT: I can't quit this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhcllB-S6cs

Both tunes in SO3's Aquaria (the town part and the castle theme, Reflected Moon) are stunning and very relaxing.

I also have to give the album a major "tip of the hat" for using a Jazz theme as a final Boss theme (Moody Goddess).

And yeah.  It took me YEEARS before I noticed Barret's theme was just a more up-beat version of Corel's Theme. =/
Julia's theme is everywhere.

Ah, that is jazzy, haha. That's great...I don't recall hearing that track. Kind of reminds me of this: http://avideogamemusicblog.tumblr.com/post/26799409118/title-detective-kidds-theme-album-genso

That arranged Suikoden III album is a real trip...love it.
